From the students:
From the grown-ups:
I cannot let more time go by without sending you a quick note to express my awe and admiration for the show you put up today at the 2nd and 3rd grade concert...Today you blew my mind and reminded me that there is always more good than bad going around and you reminded me there is always hope. One of the great things about your music program is that it touches each and everyone of our kids at school and I truly believe that music is one of the best things we can offer to them. If music can be considered a language today you composed one of the most beautiful poems I have read. Today you brought out all kinds of feelings from all of us inside the auditorium. In a short period of time you made us all sob, think, laugh, dance and be happy. I know that I speak on behalf of all this PTA when I say that there are no words to express how thankful we are for all you do at school. Know that we are behind you and always feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Nashira is always impressive - I've seen her teaching as well as her students' performances many times over the years. The performances are invariably excellent and enjoyable, communicating what a joyful experience the students are having, but they also demonstrate that her students have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of musicianship which Nashira has taught them. She is very professional, organized, and reliable, and well liked and respected by the classroom teachers and Principals she works with in our partner schools. She is a great asset and ambassador for Third Street, and we're very fortunate to have her on our faculty.
